Our one year anniversary monster's ball was a beastly success! So many people were foaming at the mouth to find out what happened to Baby New Sound! For those of you who couldn't grace our hallowed halls, it was sold out evening packed wall-to-wall with scaryoke-goers in blood-curdling costumes. A ferocious pack of artists and filmmakers crafted karaoke-mutations that MESMERIZED as they haunted all 4 walls of Monkeytown.

Tragedy strikes, but new video on the way!

Mere moments after winning an award for artistic excellence in the art of Karaoke Videomaking, we were struck with a tragedy of orchestral proportions at the New Sound mountain retreat just steps away from the Omega Institute in upstate New York. Our blessedly perfect union was nearly detuned, derailed, and defrocked forever! What happened, you ask? Well, if Whitney is brave enough to release a new album with a drug scortched voice, we can certainly drum up the courage to open up to you, our faithful fa-la-la'ing followers:

Our Baby was taken away from us and it brings a river of tears to think it has a new home. We know you demand details - and You Are Not Alone - but it is simply too painful and complicated for the written word.

Thankfully, we know how to communicate larger than life issues and emotions with artistic precision! We know what will mend the gaping chasm in our hearts: The divine, mysterious splendor of the Karaoke Video!

In our household minus one, we sing through the pain in wide angles, cake make-up, feathery bangs, perms, bobs, and haute couture. We spare no expense, monetary or emotional - and we have wasted no time getting back behind the camera and in front of the microphone! We are strong!

HERE WE ARE - on location, shooting our way though the pain, desperately hoping to hear our Heartbeats once again. It's going to be a painful video, but it must be done!

A Lifetime of Achievement

What an Honor! This past week, we were FINALLY recognized for our achievements artistic and otherwise at the Music Video Awards Screening @ Canada gallery. Our short climb to the top has been no shortage of tears, punishing high notes, raw-throated desire, and yes JOY. And it's all worth it because of our fans. But being awarding winning fantasy karaoke chantueses does not mean we rest contented on our laurels. This week we are hard at work to bring you another video premiere that promises to top the uncharted seas of musical homage!

New Sound Karaoke July 18th at That's My Jam!

For those of you who missed our humble down-home karaoke-flavored presence in the Narrowsburg, NY 4th of July parade, you can finally wipe away your tears! We'll be firing up our matrimonial song machine at That's My Jam on Saturday July 18th at the Sputnik Bar in Brooklyn!Also, for those of you who simply need to rehearse your songs without all the flashing lights and fanfare, you can come hang-up your wig and sing at the Alligator Lounge in Williamsburg every Thursday night. We'll even throw in free pizza! See how blessed karaoke can be?
